The British Tag

Since I was tagged by TheGirlWithTheWingedEyeliner, I no longer had an excuse to ignore my patriotism and miss the British Tag. So, here it goes!
1. How many cups of tea do you have in a day and how many sugars?
I don't really drink tea, and feel like I've let down the nation because of it.
2. Favourite part of your roast?
Yorkshire puddings. Although, recently, I have become partial to my dad's roast potatoes.
3. Favourite dunking biscuit?
Since I font drink tea, we'll have to assume this is in a hot chocolate, and I'd say chocolate digestives.
4. Favourite quintessentially British pastime?
Waiting for The Great British Bakeoff to start. The waiting normally begins around March, which is months off the actual programme.
5. Favourite word?
Quidditch or Simultaneous.
6. Cockney rhyming slang?
My grandad made it his duty to teach me this when I was little so I know quite a bit.
7. Favourite sweet?
Fruit pastilles are a newfound favourite of mine.
8. What would your pub be called?
The Red Lion, a typical pub name, I know, but mine would be decorated like the Gryffindor Common Room.
9. No1 British Person?
Don't make me choose! Emma Watson is everything goals, Joanna Lumley is a credit to this world, let alone Britain and Barbara Windsor shaped Soaps to be what they are today. But, overall, we can't forget about JK Rowling, can we? She did basically inspire an entire generation in various different ways, and lost yer billionaire status because she donated so much to charity, not to mention setting up her own.
10. Favourite shop?
Primark and Waterstones.
11. What British song pops into your head?
Wannabe by the Spice Girls.
12. Marmite?
Never tried it.
And that's it! You have now witnessed me confess my innermost britishness, and I tag you all to do the same!

July Favourites

Hello!
Since August is just around the corner, I simply could not resist letting you all in on some of my favourites that I have been unbelievably thankful for whilst Summer is still only beginning. Without further ado, let's touch upon some of my July saviours.

TV:

As a diehard Netflix user, I have a knack for bingewatching TV shows and feeling extra emotions. Naturally, I thought "Huh, I keep seeing people saying their hearts are dying inside of them over Parks and Recreation- Imma watch that!" Yes, this was only about 4 weeks ago. Yes, I'm partway through Series 7. Yes, I'm seriously panicking because I'm running out of episodes. And yes, Andy and April are now my OTP. But seriously, every single storyline and character is written and performed to perfection, Many, many tears have been shed, from both hilarity and heartbreak, earning it a large designated place in my already pretty crowded heart. My favourite character? I love all of them for different reasons, but watches Ron Swanson grow has pleased me no end. That said, April is pretty much an embodiment of my inner thoughts and feelings and I can't help but laugh.

Makeup:

I did discover this a little while ago, but I've been especially grateful for Rimmel London's Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara. As I mentioned in my last post, I recently went on a school trip to Boppard, Germany, and since we only had under an hour to get ready, I didn't have time to do all of my makeup. The idea of going out into the world without eyeliner basically terrified me, however knowing I had - in my opinion- the best mascara available in drugstores reassured me greatly. And, it worked! By the end of the week, I had only worn eyeliner once, and got a lie in through the process! This particular mascara has a "broken heart" shaped brush in order to follow your lash line to maximise both length and volume simultaneously, a must have in a mascara for me. It retails at £6.99, but I got it for £4 in a sale, though would be happy to repurchase and pay the full price. If this is a bit steep for you, however, I have seen it cheaper in various stores.

Sprays:

When on a trip to Birmingham last month, I took a look inside Hollister - although with the lights that dim it was more of a game where you had to squint and tilt your head to identify the items for sale. Typically, my first port of call was to pick up one of these infamous body sprays. After trying out a few, I chose Palisades Beach, a sweet and clean smell. As the weather has warmed, I have begun using this spray even more, due to the scent perfectly capturing the essence of Summer.

Books:

This month, the news arose that Netflix would be making an original series adaptation of the childrens' novels, A Series of unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, Having cherished these books when I was younger, this replenished my love for them, thus inspiring me to reread the series. I'm currently on the Wide Window, the third book in this thirteen part series, and I must admit that I am enjoying them just as much these many years later. Although I may be looking at them in a different light, they still hold the same wit and likeability as before, despite my newfound hatred for Coconut Cream Cake. I would recommend these to any age group, and I cannot stress enough how high my hopes are for this new show for 2016.

Apps:

Much like any 21st Century teenager, I'm always on the hunt for an app I can use for entertainment without the need of WiFi if I ever need it, and after much searching, I think I have finally found the one. Colorfy is basically an adults' colouring book, but on your phone. It comes with two free palettes, with many others you can purchase, and many, many different pictures to colour in.It's incredibly therapeutic, and a lot cheaper than other adult colouring books, since it was free! Not to mention, since it's on your phone, you will always have it handy.

That's all for this month! I sincerely hope that, after discovering these favourites of mine, they will bring you equal joy if and when you try them.

Primark Haul

Hello!
As always, sorry for my recent absence, but this time I have an actual reason. I know, weird. I was in Germany for five days recently, and have spent the time afterwards enjoying the beginning of summer fully, which I believe will give me lots to write about! Anyway, onto this post.
Both before and after my trip, I took a *quick* trip to Primark and picked up an array of summer wear.

Shoes:
The first lot of items I picked up were various pairs of shoes. The first were a pair of powder blue, buckled ballet pumps for the evenings, which could easily have been worn in the day for walking, since they didn't even rub me after several hours. I believe they were £6, but prices may vary over sizes.

The second pair were some Pepsi Cola Retro themed flip flops, a poolside essential. I'm yet to actually wear them outside, but in the small time I have worn them, they proved to be cushion-y (if that's a word) and comfortable. Comfort is often something I cannot find in flip flops, with many a blister having been a result of a bad pair of them. These were only £2, and I trust Primark enough to know that I found myself a great deal.

This pair were a done deal when I saw them, instantly catching my eye. They're black and white striped retro style, with white platforms on the bottom. They are also extremely comfy, and provide plenty of way to adjust this, with the multiple buckles. I can honestly say that these are one of my new favourites, especially considering the £8 price tag.

Socks:
Similar to every other trip to Primark I have made in the past, I couldn't resist picking up some of their socks. I'm trying to collect more pairs of socks with frills, as they can be worn with both casual and a little more formal outfits, adding extra class either way.

I, therefore, decided to buy them in a variety of versatile colours, as they would then match pretty much any outfit and avoid clashing with any of my shoes (About a year ago, I decided that I wanted a pair of paint splatter-style shoes, and ended up buying more than one pair. but more on that in another post).  Either way, I got two packs of three for £2 each, and the singular grey pair for £1.50.

Tops:
Since their was a sale on the second time I went, picking up as many tops as I could carry was a no-brainer. Unfortunately, I did have to select my few favourites, however they really are just that.

Originally, I picked up this top in white, but my long-term preference for dark colours took over- as usual - and I ended up selecting this maroon coloured one instead. It has lace straps on the shoulders, with the same material going along the front of the top. Underneath this is a slight gap and a tie on the top of it, adding extra decoration to the front. It also has off the shoulder, three quarter sleeves, allowing it to have a looser fit, adding variety in comparison to some of my other clothes. I recall that this was £3, brought down from £6,  as were the other colours in this style.
This top was also £3 down from £6, although I honestly would have been happy to pay that price. With the two layers, this top is warm enough to wear in cooler weather, and, let's face it, we can't always rely on Britain to give us sun just because we got a nice t-shirt we want to wear. The pattern on the front added colour, yet in a simplistic, classic manner, making it perfect for multiple occasions.

This one was not in the sale, but at £6 was still considerably cheaper than most band merch elsewhere. Being a hardcore Nivarna fan right from when I was little, I knew as soon as I saw this that it was coming straight to the checkout with me, no questions asked. It's high necked, with long sleeves to add to the grunge look. Additionally, the back is split into three grey strips, each with a knot in at symmetrical levels. This design is great, until you wear it out in the sun and you get two triangles sunburnt onto your back. Then they tan and stay there for much longer than you would prefer...

Again, this is a Primark essential. At a measly £2.50, this grey vest top has already proven its' purpose to me in many ways, from simply going under shirts and flannels to wearing it to my new Zumba class.

This vest top is very similar to the one above, only it was more of a replacement than a find, after my original one ripped at the strap. I have many of these vest tops in an array of colours, and I'm certain that I would be lost without them. These are normally stacked on a display piece in many, many colours for only £1.80 each.

Shorts:

Seemingly, every year when Summer finally rolls around, I am left with a Short count of zero. Obviously, when on the search  for comfy, cotton shorts, I turn to this holy grail shop. At £4 a piece, these shorts could be used for daywear or pyjamas, thus making them an opportunity I could not surpass.

These shorts were the same price as above, although served a different purpose to the previous ones. I recently wore them to a theme park, and they complimented my Marvel shirt better than I could have expected. Aswell as the unique colour, the thin yet opaque material means you'll be kept cool, without having to worry about the person being getting a view of your pants, because it's not like you haven't been there before.

And that's it! Although it may seem like I brought quite a bit, along with some hairspray, jewellery, a dress, eyeliner and several other odd items, these two trips only came to £30-£40, which you can't deny is impressive.

A Few Of My Favourite Things

Hello!
As always, summer coupled with exams is weighing me down, but that never ceases my need to write. A lot of the things I have been writing recently have been fiction (and even that's a little short on the ground), so I decided to shape things up a bit and do the 20 of My Favourite Things tag!
I know my last post was also a tag but as soon as I sat down after a barbecue and a substantial piece of cake I knew that getting a proper blog out of me was impossible. It may not seem it, but a lot of my blogs take quite a while to write, specifically any that have theories, rumors or anything else that needs a source or certain wording to ensure it can't be misinterpreted *cough* PLL Series Six Facts *cough*. Although, that said, I really enjoyed writing that and hope to do another when the show goes on hiatus.
Enough of my ramblings, now onto the tag.

Favourite...

Colour- Black! Frankly, if you assumed anything else than I am ashamed. I am notorious for having some 'gothic' personality traits and along with those is a love for this colour.

Dessert- Before I answer, I would like to apply emphasis to how long and hard I thought about this question, because I really, really, really love food. And not like a normal person, like someone who once ran the length of a rather large classroom faster than I had ever ran previously, screaming, because I thought someone was throwing away some nachos with salsa and guacamole. Nonetheless, I'm going to have to pick my nan's Eton Mess. Strawberries, crushed meringue, chocolate shavings and cool, tangy creme fraiche.

Smell- Books. For sure. Old books, new books, they all have unique smells but each and every one is perfection. Basically it's crack for geeks.

Flower- Forget-me-nots. For all my life, my family have moved house every 1-3 years, having stayed in our longest house a little over 3 years. However, one thing that has remained constant is bunches of Forget-me-nots always end up in the back garden. I guess they are just one of the few pieces of consistency in my life and they always remind me of various happy memories from each of the eight houses.

Animal- Is it too Tumblr if I say sloths? They're just so cute and they squeak! Polar Bears and Giraffes are also top picks.

Month- September. It's a new academic year, which you will inevitably mess up, but at this point you hold onto the idea of being organised and hardworking. Plus, it's my birthday month. And who doesn't love Autumn? The colours alone are to die for!

Beverage-  Costa Coffee's White Hot Chocolate. Last year, I was in town and realised the Christmas drinks were on sale, so I lined up for one and got so excited that I cried.I probably shouldn't have admitted that, but that's how much I love it.

Shoes- Anyone who has ever met me will know of my obsession with Doc Martens. They're so comfy, waterproof, look absolutely beautiful and make me feel really great when I'm wearing them.
Snack- Either Pringles or Homous with breadsticks. Just not together. Ew.

Song/s- Right now, American Idiot by Green Day and My Chemical Romance's Teenagers.

Book- Don't make me choose! Honestly though, after the announcement that A Series of Unfortunate Events is about to become a Netflix original series, I have rediscovered my love for Lemony Snicket's 13 part series (I'm still only on the 10th but shhh).

Fruit- Pineapple, apart from when it burns your tongue. The things I do for food.

Hairstyle- Just today, I tried out a new one, which I can feel I'm going to love for a long time.

Piece/s of Clothing- Black ripped, skinny jeans are a must have, along with an army-style jacket. Tank tops are also an item of clothing that you can't go wrong with.

Stores to Shop- Primark is a little, underrated gem in my opinion. It's great for cute tops, comfy jeans and don't even get me started on their pyjamas! I'm also rather fond of their stud earrings to add a little more to your school uniform. Another shop that I've began to love is H&M. They have sophisticated, comfy clothes that will suit any occasion. Both these shops are perfect for when you are budgeting, too.

Season- Autumn, for sure! The colours, clothes, weather and atmosphere alone is enough to fall madly in love with.

Hobby- As you've probably guessed, writing is a personal favourite of mine.

Things to Collect- Memories. Why spend life collecting materialistic things when it's always the memories attached that matter?

Movie- Saving Mr Banks. Not only is it the telling of the making of a beloved childrens' classic, but it truly haunted me from the moment the credits rolled in. The story of P.L. Travers is so heartbreakingly beautiful, with performances from Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson, Colin Farrell and the rest of the cast to match.

Restaurant- A local Indian restaurant, Ashiana. The food impressed me beyond belief and the night there was one filled with laughter and friends.

So that's it, a few of my favourite things! I hope you enjoyed this insight into some of my personal preferences and I can't to write another blog for you guys.

50 Facts about Me!

Hello!
I realised I haven't posted in a while, but as I mentioned in my last post, I've had a lot of stuff going on outside of social media. Nevertheless, I thought you deserved a new post already, and what better excuse than to shamelessly promote two of my great friends! I stole this tag from one friend, who stole it from another, both of which I will link below.
Without further ado, here are 50 facts about me!
1. My hair is naturally brown, but I dye it red (when I can be bothered) so its more of an auburn with crimson streaks.
2. My eyes used to be blue, then they turned blue with green and brown, and now they're green completely.
3. I'm around 5'7-8".
4. My shoe size is 6, but it can go up or down depending on the shop.
5. Because we have the same shoe size, my Nan often steals my shoes, or even buys me some so she can borrow them!
6. I'm not 100% sure how much I weigh but it's around 9 stone, which I'm very happy with and enjoy being.
7. In the summer, I'm getting my second piercings done, but after I want three cartilage on my right and one on my left like in between my lobe and my cartilage (I don't know the name).
8. I've already planned four of my tattoos.
9. I'm going on holiday to Germany with my school in July and I can't wait!
10. As you've probably already seen, I'm a feminist.
11. My middle name is Jane.
12. My favourite Pretty Little Liars episode is 3x12, which is the Ghost Train one.
13. I couldn't pick a favourite Once Upon a Time episode, but I loved Series 3B with Zelena.
14. My favourite Liar is Hanna.
15. My favourite OUAT character is Hook (obviously he is also my soul mate)
16. I have abnormally long arms, they're like windmills.
17. I'm quite tall and very lanky, making dancing impossible.
18. You are unlikely to know someone who can procrastinate as well as I can.
19. I'm seeing Fall Out Boy in October with one of my very close friends.
20. I'm probably going to get trolled for this, but I really don't like Book!Katniss, especially in Catching Fire. The films portray her as a hero who is in love with two guys and she's innocent, when in reality she's quite selfish, and basically says she thinks she'll die so she let's Gale smother her in love and attention and not stop him! I mean-*burys head in hands*.
21. Today, I had to help cut a comb out of my stepsisters' head, because she thought it was a good idea to keep twisting it in then put conditioner on it.
22. I have an obsessive personality, which basically entails loving lots of things to an extreme.
23. My favorite food is Garlic Bread. Even though I'd happily eat a full baguette of the stuff, I get really self conscious of my breath which is vile because I just want to eat it already.
24. My best friend lives on the other side of the country.
25. But, I have 7 other best friends who I go to school with.
26. The main reason I'm still watching Gossip Girl at Series 4 is the wonderful puns for titles.
27. And Chuck Bass. Obviously.
28. My main ships are Haleb, Outlaw Queen, Ronks, Chair, the Ponds from Doctor Who and Filin (Colin O'Donoghue and Fina)
29. I'm running out of stuff to say, I'm honestly not that interesting.
30. I hate the Divergent movies. They just changed so much to make it like other franchises when we loved it for its variation in the first place! I haven't seen Insurgent and I don't plan on watching any of the others.
31. I cry at a lot of the films and TV shows I see.
32. In fact, I've cried at every film I've seen in the cinema in 2015 apart from one.
33. My favourite Disney princess is Tiana, but Belle and Rapunzel are close seconds.
34. My favourite Prince is Flynn Rider.
35. I watched both Pitch Perfect 1&2 for the first time in one day.
36. My favourite Avenger is Captain America.
37. My favourite Sherlock episode is the Pilot, along with 3x3.
38. I try to keep fit, but I'm really bad at it. 39. I blame the fact that three generations before me on my dads side got a note for every PE lesson so they could sit out. Literally every lesson in high school.
40. High School Musical 2 is the best one. Just saying.
41. Likewise, I prefer the Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea. But only by a tiny bit.
42. Since I was three, my favourite film has been the Nightmare Before Christmas.
43. Although, when I bawled my eyes out at the Corpse Bride because I disliked Victoria at the ages of 5, it too got a special place in my heart.
44. I prefer chocolate over sweets.
45. But I will pretty much eat anything.
46. I'm 15 in September.
47. I really love eyeliner. Like, a lot. Its a problem.
48. My favourite Hollister Spray is Paradise Beach.
49. I have a sister, two brothers, two stepbrothers and two stepsisters. All but one are younger than me.
50. Since there's so many of us, I now live next door to my step family and we plan on knocking through to create a big house.
And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this insight, and perhaps I'll do more of these type of things in the future, since I don't have much else to do.
Welcome to my Paper Life.

Life Update

Hello!
First off, I'd like to apologise for my absense, but I've moved house and the first few days took a lot of work and organisation to sort things out. On top of that, I've only just got internet access in this house so I haven't been able to post anything on any form of social media.
Although I'm not in the room I will eventually have due to reasons I'm yet to be told about,  I will be decorating minimally with accents and designs that will also suit my younger sister when we eventually swap rooms. So, I thought I I could post those and the process once its complete.
Whilst on the subject of posting, I have several ideas floating around my head for blogs and I cannot wait to share them with you in the up coming future.
But for now,
Welcome to my paper life.

Big A is 7 dAys away!

Hello!
After one of my recent posts, it is rather obvious that my obsession with the ABCFamily show, Pretty Little Liars is a significant part of my life. As with most ABC shows, PLL has its fair share of cliffhangers, however its series 5 finale seems to have beaten all of the previous ones. With a simple name reveal to keep us going for two months, its a wonder how the PLLArmy have managed to stay out of Radley! But, as series 6 approached, we were given little hints that we each individually pieced together to create our own theories. So, I thought I'd leave you with my reasons why Paige McCullers is Big A.
A rumour has been floating around that Paige will be revealed to actually be called Katherine DiLaurentis, which would make sense is 6A will be centred around that very family and how Alison and Jason-and even Katherine- grew to be who they are today. Of course this could be passed off due to lack of confirmation, but Katherine sounds an awfully similar to Charles, don't you think? Another suspicion is that Big A is transgender, which is why a sex has been so hard to confirm. If Paige was Katherine, then it is likely that she either was or is Charles (I'd just like to point out that none of this is to do with Paige being a lesbian, as I fully understand that being gay does not mean that they wish to be another gender.)
Another strong suggestion is  Paige's blatant hatred for Ali. In series 4 she went out of her way to prevent her from returning, even if it meant potentially destroying her relationship.
Whilst on the subject of Paily, I still can't get over the fact that Paige tried to drown Emily because she liked her! I mean ice heard of boys bullying girls in primary school because they like them but this is psychotic! If wanting to kill someone to get rid of your feelings for them isn't -A like behaviour than I dont know what is! Paige simply can't have changed her feelings for Emily so dramatically, therefore I dont believe that her feelings are genuine. But if she still felt the same dislike for Emily, than why date her? To gain her trust? Remember how long it took for Aria to believe the others about Ezra? Perhaps Paige has the same idea, knowing full well that Emily's loyalty would be even harder to break.
Amoung the array of hints, I. Marlene King stated that Big A was not in the Pilot, however was there 'that night'. For all we know, Paige may have been there after receiving threats from Ali, which we have seen in flashbacks. As for the Pilot, we know for a fact that she didn't male her appearance until at least 10 episodes in.
Also, is it just me that saw her departure to California as rather abrupt? But, what if she didn't even get on the plane? She was away the right amount of time to have built the Dollhouse, not to mention her access to the Liars' bedrooms.
The only flaw in this would be her absense in 5x25, where we apparently saw -A unmasked, but its obvious that Marlene has lied to us before now.
Leave your theories below, and feel free to add or discuss my own. After all, I have got 7 dAys left!
Welcome to my paper life.
